Full-time Family Life Minister: First Baptist Crane

Family Life Minister Position – Full-Time
The Task:
As the Family Life Minister at Crane Frist Baptist, your overall responsibility is to coordinate training, events, and activities for the age groups of Elementary School, Middle School, and Senior High school in conjunction with volunteers in the church that would:
• Provide opportunities to reach out to young people that are not Christians.
• Provide opportunities to mature young people that are Christians.
The model for this ministry is – to impact the lost world of these children and youth with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and mature new believers to impact their world of lostness.
Areas of need are:
• Sunday Morning, Sunday Night, and Wednesday regular activities.
• Events that lead to new contacts and evangelism through the local school.
• Organization of mentoring relationships with these age groups.
• Provide opportunities for training to help the adults in these students’ lives to lead their children into a deeper relationship with Christ.
• Training that will help all these mature in their relationship with Christ. (All areas of ministry which involve these age groups would be under the coordination of the Family Life Minister.)
The Person:
• Agree with and minister within the doctrinal confession of the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
• Knowledge of and ability to teach the Word of God in the context of these students.
• Of high moral character.
• Able to relate to church members to aid in this ministry.
• Able to use current technology in the coordination of this ministry.
• A bachelor’s degree in the area of this ministry would be preferable.
The Time Requirements:
• Office hours during the regular office hours of the church.
• Involvement during the regular worship and service times of the church.
• Involvement in school activities during the week.
The Accountability System:
• The Family Life Minister is directly accountable to the Ministry Team Leader (Pastor).
• The Family Life Minister will meet regularly with the Ministry Team Leader to coordinate the ministry.
• The Family Life Minister will recruit, and coordinate volunteers needed to accomplish their ministry.
• Once a year, the Family Life Minister and the Ministry Team Leader will do a written performance review.

Music Leader & piano player: Fremont Hills (Nixa)

Family Ministry Leader: Keystone (Reeds Spring)

Job Description:
Family Ministry Leader
Keystone Baptist Church
The Family Ministry Leader is the connection point between families and children’s programming at Keystone Baptist Church. This person is the organizer and motivator driving 2 weekly programs for children: Children’s Church on Sunday mornings and Children’s Bible Study
on Wednesday evenings. This person also actively engages children, parents and volunteer leaders to inspire meaningful gatherings that build faith and teach Biblical understanding in young people.
 Sundays: Lead a prepared, 5-minute Children’s Sermon in front of the congregation, which ends with a prayer. Then lead a prepared, 25-minute children’s church lesson during the sermon. This lesson should be interactive and follow the theme introduced in the Children’s Sermon.
 Wednesdays: Lead a Children’s Bible Study with these goals: meet the ministry needs of K-12 children, offer experiential Biblical curriculum and relationship building opportunities with themes of fun and community.  Report directly to the Senior Pastor progress toward goals and any issues that arise.
 Participate in VBS
 Participate in Fall Festival
 Recruit and build up volunteer leaders from within the congregation to serve families at KBC and cover for you in case of your absence.
 Minister to your volunteer leaders, as well as the families you serve.
 Pray for the church, your volunteer leaders and families.
 Children’s programs are consistently offered with excellent Biblical training and spiritual equipping. Children enjoy attending KBC children’s programing and want to come back the following week.
 Parents trust you to participate in the spiritual development of their children and want to prioritize KBC children’s programming in their schedules. Volunteer leaders are eager to serve alongside you. They are committed, inspired and take ownership of their role in serving God at KBC.
 You have a relationship with each family and volunteer leader to the extent of knowing their names, having their contact information and reaching out individually to minister to them, not just to ask them to serve/attend.
 The adult congregation looks forward to your Children’s sermons weekly.
This position requires 6 hours weekly. This position is compensated at a rate $20/hr paid monthly.
 Non-flexible 10:45-12:15 on Sundays and 6:15-7:45 on Wednesdays
 Flexible 3 hours for lesson preparation and communication
KBC will provide budgeted funds for ministry supplies
 You must become a member of Keystone Baptist Church and call KBC your home church.
 You must fulfill your commitments as a member of KBC.
 You must speak well of KBC publicly and represent the organization positively to the community.
 You must live a lifestyle of repentance from sin and desire godly living.
 You must pass a background check.
